Six Strands of Sustainability

Air, waste, biomass, energy, earth and water form the six strands of sustainability that weave through every project of ours.

Principles of Sustainability

Cost, aesthetics, function, ease of execution, efficient time and environmental health are the foundations on which our activities rest.

Mamta Krishna, Homemaker

T Zed Homes provide the space that enables us to make green choices everyday. Here, there is thoughtfulness in the way we harvest and use rainwater and in how we recycle waste.

S.R.Srinivasan, IT professional

I was amazed that homes like in T Zed actually existed in Bangalore. It isn't just the homes that are eco-friednly here; it's the entire way of living that is.

Suresh Krishnamoorthy, Senior Solutions Architect

They had plans to generate their own electricity, enable self-sufficiency in terms of water, and even use construction materials that consume less energy for processing.

Vinay Nair, Merchant Mariner

I'm proud to be a part of this community. I know this can work. And I know I'll have a home that is stylish, contemporary, practical and more importantly, resource-sensitive. I know that just by living here, I can make a difference to the environment.

Prof. Mehjabin Shaikh, CEPT University

Green concepts implemented are a big leap in proving commitment and conviction.

Prof. Rajan Rawal, CEPT University

Congratulations on getting the Hashimoto Award for BCIL – We are proud to be part of this achievement.
At the time he acquired a property at TZed Homes, he said, "If I profess to do so many things in sustainable areas, I can't but buy a place here."

Dr Suman Majumdar, CII Sustainability Cell

This is a unique experience. We have never seen anything like this before.

Different technologies are employed throughout the building process, all with the aim of providing maximum comfort to our customers without however compromising on impact on the planet.

Processes in the construction at BCIL sites incorporates many green principles. We are sensitive about the distances our materials have to travle before they reach site. We are careful of using the excavated top soil for ecoscaping. We are currently studying ways of using Integrated Project Delivery mechanisms to bring down cost and materials. There are these and many more processes we use to green our construction activities.

Energy-efficient designs and the use of sustainable materials are keys to our sustainable future, and more products can now be found that enhance both, as well as providing greater choice in terms of aesthetic considerations. Likewise, staying somewhere where indigenous, sustainable materials are used in construction is unlikely to mean you'll be sleeping on palm fronds or hay mattresses; one does not have to compromise on urban comfort.
