Creak Goes…..
To get rid of that creaking sound in your door hinge, apply pencil lead or rub with a small piece of soap.
Faces Aglow
Grind some rose petals with sandalwood to a paste and apply on your face everyday during your bath. Wash off after 10 minutes.
Cans that Smell
Rinse oil cans with soapnut powder and sour curd along with a little water and wash well. The can will neither retain the smell nor the stickiness of oil.
Garage Gripes
If oil has leaked from the car on your garage floor, just spread out a damp newspaper over the oil stains. Leave till the newspaper is dry. When your remove the paper, the stains will be gone.
Candle that Lasts
Put a drop or two of edible oil on a candle for a brighter flame.
Floors Rise and Shine
To get the floor shining and keep the house free of insects, mop the floor everyday with detergent solution and a few drops of kerosene.
Wet ‘Em Sticks
Joss sticks will burn longer if you wet them before lighting them.
The Fridge Stinks?
To keep your fridge odour-free, put some soda bicarb in a plastic bottle with a perforated lid and leave it on the sideboards of the cooler. It will absorb the foul smell.
